Being from Iceland, an island far up in the north Atlantic ocean truly has an impact on you. The isolation, the nature, the darkness, the people and the old sagas all become a big part of you - and eventually you become a part of them.

An important saga for us icelanders is Laxdæla. The saga of a woman named Guðrún Ósvífursdóttir and the men in her life.

This woman was married four times but lost all of her husbands, one way or another.

By her deathbed her son asked her which man in her life she had loved the most. She gave the cryptic response:

"To him I was the worst whom I loved the most". This answer has sparkled great debates as to whom she was referring to.

"Til" has been performed in Germany, in Iceland, as well as being part of "Nordic Cool" festival in the US and Salisbury International Arts Festival in the UK.

It was nominated as dance production of the year in 2013 at Gríman, Icelandic National Theater Awards and selected as semi finalist in Hannover International Choreography Competition that same year.
